This track is actually a couple years old now, but I thought I'd share it with the public!

I set out to challenge myself to learn, record, and mix a cover song within two hours, and I choose "Lifeboat" from the Heathers musical. So yes, I only spent 2 hours on the whole thing, meaning that it's nowhere close to perfect, but I wouldn't change anything about it.

This is an incredibly powerful song that speaks to the pressures of trying to fit in during high school years, constantly fearful of slipping up and becoming a social pariah. Personally, I feel that we can all relate to that feeling, whether from growing up, or in our own lives currently. It goes beyond the hierarchy of popularity in school, and can be an excellent metaphor for the desires and fears we face in social groups regardless of where we are in life.
